Moong Dal sundal ( green gram sundal)


A healthy and tasty, less calorie snack which can be munched at any time of day and that too without any guilt. Also you can eat it during fasts.

  • Ingredients:
  1. Saabut moong dal (Whole green gram): 1 cup.
  2. Urad dhuli (split blackgram skinless): 2 table spoon.
  3. Dried Red Chilly: 1
  4. Green chilli: 2
  5. Curry leaves: 10-12.
  6. Mustard seeds: 1  t spoon.
  7. Asafoetida: 2 pinch.
  8. Scraped dried coconut: 1/4 cup.
  9. Olive Oil : 1 table spoon.
  10. Salt: as per taste.
  • Recipe:
Soak Moong dal for atleast 3 hrs.Now pressure cook it with some water and salt for upto 2 whistles.
next Heat olive Oil in a non stick pan ( i took olive oil too lower the caloris but you can substitute.)

Now add mustard seeds, asafoetida and urad dal and saute it till the urad dal become golden in colr.

chop red chilli, green chillies and curry leaves and add to it. Stir for a minute and then add boiled moong dal to it. Saute for two minutes.
Now add scraped coconut and salt and your Moong dal sundal is ready to eat.
Tip: to increase the taste you can add some drops of lemon to it.

Falooda



How about some chilled Ice cream or Kulfi with tasty faaluda.
Nice and easy to make at home , to give an added flavor to your regular icecream/kulfi.
  • Ingredients:

  1. Vermicelli: 1 cup.
  2. sabja/Basil seeds: 2 table spoon.
  3. Sugar : 3-4 table spoon.
  4. roohafja/strawberry /rose syrup (whatever u like): 4 table spoon.
  5. Ice cream/ Kulfi.
  6. Milk 2 cups.
  7. Dry fruits : a handfulof your choice.
  8. Tootifruity:  for topping.
  • Recipe:
Soak sabja/basil seeds in water for about half an hour. Drain water after and keep it aside.

Now Boil milk in a pan add sugar to it mix well and keep in fridge to chill. Now add choice of your flavor (i added roohafja).
Also boil the vermicelli in water and then drain water and add to this milk.
 next step is to mix soaked basil seeds, and flavored vermicelly milk u just made, and your falooda is ready.

Next step is arranging . 
First take a dessert bowl or glass of your choice, add some falooda then put a scoop of your choice of ice cream or kulfi then pour some more falooda , put some  chopped dry fruits and finally top with some tooti fruity.

Your yumm and tasty Falooda is ready to be served. get ready for pat on your back for making this yumm dessert.

Namkeen Sewayian/ Jave ( salty vermicelli )- Breakfast recipe.


A Light and healthy breakfast and good for kids lunch box too. Try this hot Jave recipe.

  • Ingredients:
  1. Vermicelli- 1 cup.
  2. Onion: 1 small.
  3. green chilli:1
  4. Peas : a handful.
  5. carrot: a small one.
  6. Tomato: half small.
  7. Cumin seeds: a pinch.
  8. Mustard seeds: a pinch.
  9. half t spoon turmeric powder.
  10. Garam masala: 1 t spoon.
  11. Water : 2cup.
  12. Oil: 1table spoon.
  13. Salt as per taste .
  14. Coriandar leaves : for garnishing.
  • Recipe:
Roast Vermicelli in a pan. Now keep the vermicellli aside . Chop all the veggie except peas fine. Now heat a pan put some oil into it and add cumin and mustard seeds. once they start to crackle add garam masala saute for a while and then add all the veggies mentioned in ingredients. Stir them for some time and then add water once the water begins to simmer add roasted vermicelli to it mix well and let the water dry .  If you want you can add tomato sauce to it. Sprinkle coriandar in the last .

Now enjoy this dish hot . Your kids will also love to carry them in to their tiffin and being less spicy and with so colorful with lots of veggies , they will love it .

kadhai paneer




Kadhai paneer . before getting the perfect recipe i searched through a lot of recipes to get the actual authentic kadhai masala to make the authentic kadhai paneer, and one fine day I succeed :) and the response just elites me. 
So here is my kadhai paneer recipe  for you all.

  • Ingredients: for four people

  1. Paneer (cottage cheese):250 grms.
  2. Capsicum: 2 medium.
  3. Onion: 2 medium.
  4. Tomato:3-4.
  5. Ginger garlic paste :1 table spoon.
  6. salt.
  7. Red chilly powder (preferbly degi mirch) : 1 t spoon.
  8. Refined : 2 table spoon.
  • For kadhai Masala:
  1. Corriandar seeds : 2table spoon.
  2. Red chilly dry : 4.
  3. Bay leave:1
  4. Clove:4-6.
  5. Cinnamon : 1 inch stick.
  6. black pepper:6-8 .
  • Recipe:
First roast all masalas mentioned under masala recipe by heating them dry in a kadhai (wok) till you start getting the fragrance. Now grind it .

Next Chop all the veggies,and  grind one tomato into puree.
Heat a wok at medium flame and add refined to it. add chopped onion to it and once it become translucent add ginger garlic paste to it. Saute till the raw smell goes off. Now add the grounded  kadhai masala toit. and stir well add chilly powder and tomato puree to it and once the masala starts to leave the kadhai , add all the veggies to it and close the lid for some time .After 10 minutes or so when the veggies are cooked add the paneer to it. saute for 2 minutes and add dried fenugrrek leaves and corriandar leaves.

Relish this yumm kadhai dish with roti or naan.

Corn Pakora

Rainy weather, pakoras and on to top on that pakora made of corn and onion , heavenly combination. So here's my recipe for corn pakoras.

  • Ingredients:
  1.  Sweet Corn : 2 bowl.
  2. Gram Flour (Besan) : as per consistency.
  3. Onion : 1 Big.
  4. Green chilli: 2.
  5. Salt.
  6. Garam masala: 1 t spoon.
  7. Red chilly powder: 1t spoon.
  8. Turmeric  1 t spoon.
  9. Chaat masala : 1 table spoon.
  10.  Oil : for deep  fry.
  • Recipe:
Chop Onion and green chilles . Now take corn ,onion , chilly, salt, besan, chilly powder, turmeric, chaat and garam masala and mix together. Add bit water to make a thick paste.

Now heat Oil and once its heated enough start dropping small pieces of this mixture into this heated oil ( put the gas on medium flame). 
Fry from both side till it become golden in color but prevent it from burning.
Now your crunchy yummy corn Pakoras are ready to serve. Enjoy it with hot tea or coffee and some sauce on your side. Yummm. That's what you are going to say after eating it.

Kalakand


A nice  and  delicious dessert which is easy to make and have nutritional values too. Try it, it's an easy recipe.


  • Ingredients:
  1. Milk: 2 litre.
  2. Sugar : 2 cups.
  3. Lemon :1whole  .
  4. dry fruits (almonds and pistachio): too garnish.
  • Recipe:
Divide the milk into two parts. Boil half of the milk in a pan and as the milk comes to boil , squeeze the lemon into milk and stir the milk gently. Once the whey start separating turn off the heat. Now strain the whey and drain the water using a muslin or thin cotton cloth.

Wrap the cloth well and rinse well so that the sourness of lemon goes off.
Now squeeze it so as to drain the water completely so that chena is formed. 

Next boil the rest milk on medium heat till it become half . don't forget to stir it from time to time so that milk don't stick to the pan. Once the milk become half add the chena and keep stiring now add sugar after some time till it become like a soft lump like and start leaving pan.

Now pour in a big bowl or a plate to set it. Let it get cool for some time , now spread chopped almonds or pistachio, cut into barfi shape or any shape of your choice. 

Now sit back and relish the awesome taste of this yumm dessert.

canapes in white sauce


Yumm and easy finger food which is easy to make and good to present  and works great as snacks to fill those hours between lunch and dinner.

  • Ingredients: for 12 pieces.
  1. Canapes ( you can get the box easily at super markets ).
  2. Butter : 2 table spoon.
  3. Milk. 1 cup.
  4. Refined flour :1/2 cup.
  5. Corn : 1/2 cup.
  6. salt : 1 table spoon.
  7. Cheese (grated).
  8. Tomato sauce .
  9. Pizza seasoning.
  10. Oil for frying.
  • Recipe:
First take out the canapes and fry them ( if u want u can go without frying).
Now Its time to make white sauce. Take  a pan and melt butter in it, add refined flour to it , saute for a while and then add milk to it , keep stiring , now add corn and salt to the mixture and stir for some more time say for a minute. 

Now  fill  this sauce with corn in the canapes bowls .


Put some sauce on it and sprinkle pizza seasoning on top and grated cheese . Now microwave them for two minutes .
And your delicious canapes are ready to serve and believe me your kids will be so delighted to eat them.

chiwda matar- a healthy and yummy breakfast which is fast too cook.


Here is a healthy and quick breakfast recipe , which is as good on tongue as its on your stomach.


  • Ingredients:
  1. choora/poha (thick one).
  2. Green Peas (depodded).
  3. refined :2 table spoon.
  4. Dry spices (clove,red chilly,bay leave, Big cardamon,Jeera, Corriander seeds, cinnamon, maze) 
  5. a inch of ginger.
  6. green chilli:2
  7. Lemon:1/2.
  8. corriander leaves.
  9. salt .
  •  Recipe:
Dry roast all the spices (heat a pan and put all the spices into it and saute till u get roasted aroma). Now grind them. Do remember not to make smooth paste it has to be rough one.
Tip: I make this masala and store in a air tight container. (It can be stored for very long periods and can be used while cooking veggies for a nice taste and aroma)  .

Now we will take a pan/wok and put on flame. Put refined/oil into it and once hot add finely chopped ginger and chilli. Now after a minute add Peas and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.

on other hand Wash The choora thoroughly and take out the water from it. Now add this to peas stir for a while now add two spoon of the grounded masala briefed above and salt as per your taste. Saute for two more minutes. Add chopped corriander leaves and add some drops of lemon. Enjoy it hot and you will surely Love this.

P.S.: If the masala is once made and stored the next time it will just take 7-8 minutes to cook this dish

Butter Chicken

My last recipe 'chicken 65' was a Hyderabadi recipe and this one is authentic Punjabi Dish. The dish name is enough to bring water to any north indian Non veg fan. So here by my recipe for this yummy  lip smacking dish punjabi delicacy.

  • Ingredients: for 4 people
For Marination:
  1. Boneless Chicken: 500 grms. 
  2. Curd:200 grms.
  3. lemon:1 
  4. Ginger garlic paste: 1 table spoon.
  5. Red chilli powder: 1 table spoon.
  6. salt : 1 t spoon.
For Gravy:

  1.  Butter : 3 table spoon.
  2. Tomato: 3-4Big.(pureed)
  3.  sugar : 1/2 table spoon.
  4. black cumin seeds:1/2 table spoon.
  5. Fresh cream :1/2cupor 100 grms.
  6. crushed fenugreek leaves/ kasuri methi: 1 table spoon.
  7. Red chilli Powder : 1 table spoon.
  8. hania powder: 1/2 table spoon.
  9. green chillies:3-4 sliced.
  10. salt to taste.

  • Recipe:
First marinate chicken with above given recipe and keep refrigerated for 4 -5 hrs.

Now put it in the oven or tandoor for 4-5 minutes so that its softens and is slightly cooked.

Next we will prepare gravy , for this first heat 2 tablespoon butter add black cumin seeds, dhania powder, tomato puree,sugar, and chilli powder.Saute for some time .

Now add 1 table spoon butter , cream and half cooked chicken , sprinkle kasoori methi and sliced green chillies.Add some water  , cover and let it cook  till the chicken is done.

Decorate with fresh cream and finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or naan. Yummy Right. :)

Chicken 65


An awesome and yummy snacks of Hyderabad which i totally Love to eat. Spicy on one hand and tangy on other and i bet you will long for more if trying for the first time. Here goes the recipe.

  • Ingredients:
For marination:
  1. Boneless chicken :250 grms.
  2. Refined flour/ maida :1/2 bowl.
  3. Cornflour : 1/4 bowl.
  4. red chilly powder: 1 table spoon.
  5. garam Masala: 1 table spoon.
  6. Turmeric :1 t spoon.
  7. Ginger garlic paste : 1 table spoon.
  8. 1 Lemon's Juice.
  9. Two egg white.
  10. Oil for deep frying.
  11. salt as per taste.
For Final dressing:
  1. Curd : 1/2 cup.
  2. Color (orange): 1 t spoon.
  3. green chilly : 2-3 slitted.
  4. Currey leaves:8-10.
  5. Garlic cloves : 6-8
  • Recipe:
Mix refiend flour , ginger garlic paste, cornflour, red chilli powder, garam masala,turmeric and chicken in a bowl .  

Marinated for 1& half to 2 hrs . now mix egg whites and salt well and keep aside for 10 more minutes.

Now Heat oil in a vessel and deep fry these chicken pieces one by one and soak them on a kitchen towel.

Now for next step before serving Heat little oil in a vessel and add curry leaves,chillies and finally slitted garlic. Once it began to crackle. Mix Curd and color and add to it , Keep stiring so that it dont form lumps. Now put all your chicken pieces in one go and saute well for 2-3 minute. chicken will absorb the curd and will become Orange in color .
Now decorate this spicy lip smacking dish with onions and parsley leaves and get clappings for a nice dish .
