shahi Paneer



Shahi Paneer is the most loved dish among paneer lovers . Creamy yummy  delicious and easy to make .
Here i give the recipe for shahi paneer .

  • Ingredients : (for four people)
  1.  Cottage Cheese (paneer): 400 grms.
  2. Onion : 2 medium size.
  3. Ginger garlic paste : 1& 1/2 table spoon.
  4. 3-4  Green chillies slitted into half.
  5. Yoghurt : 1/2 cup.
  6. Cream: 1/2 cup.
  7. Cashew paste : 1/4 cup.
  8. Garam Masala : 1 tea spoon.
  9. red chilli powder: 1/2 tea spoon.
  10.  cloves:4-5
  11.  Bay leaves:2
  12. Black pepper: 5-6
  13. Chinnamon: 1 stick.
  14. Green Cardemom : 4-6 (powdered).
  15. Saffron: 1 pinch.
  16. Salt : as per taste.
  17. Oil: 2-3 table spoon.
  • Recipe
Cut the paneer into cubes and fry a bit & keep them aside. Now boil onion in about half a cup of water , once it cools down grind it into a paste. Next heat oil in a pan and add all the dry masalas like 'bay leaves, cloves,pepper,chinnamon and saute, now add grinded onion, ginger garlic paste and green chilies to it and saute for three to four minutes on medium heat so that it get mixed but dont change the color . Add cashewnut paste and saute for 2-3 more minutes now add yoghurt and stir till its water gets completely absorbed. Now add cream to the curry and sprinkle saffron, garam masala and red chilli podwer . In the last add paneer cubes to the gravy and stir gently so that paneer can get immersed fully into gravy now sprinkle green cardamom powder on top and your gravy is ready to serve.
Tip: If you feel that the gravy is too thick then you can add some milk before paneer and stir for a minute.

Now enjoy this yummy mouth watering dish with roti or naan.

Nimona 'Green pea Curry'




Its one dish I love in the winters .The Green Pea Curry or Nimona (the name it is famous as) can easily replace pulses in winters . The taste is just heavenly and dish is full of nutritional values and can be eaten without any guilt of weight gain and is very good for Kids due to all the goodness of green peas and great taste.

  • Ingredients: (for 4 people):
  1. Green Peas : 1 kg.
  2. potatoes:2 in no.
  3. cauliflower : in a small quantity.
  4. Green Chili:6-8 .
  5. Garlic : 15-20 buds.
  6. Corriander : 100 grms
  7. One small tomato.
  8. Pinch of Garam Masala.
  9. Vadia  ( optional).
  • Recipe:
First grind garlic corriander and green chilies .This grind-ed paste will act as the masala for nimona.

Now take some refined oil  in a pan and once it heats up add the grinded paste into it and fry on medium flame till the paste leaves the oil.

Now add tomoto and stir for 2 minutes.its time to add main ingredient now,put peas into mixer and grind it , dont grind much as it should not form a smooth mixture so grind it a bit now add this paste into the pan and saute it, keep it mixing from time to time in the pan without adding water after 10 minutes or so add potatoes into it. keep steering  it and once the color changes into dark green add some water and make curry let it boil for 10-15 minutes. Add a pinch of garam masala by end.Now fry vadia into a pan and add into the curry.

To enhance the taste add some Desi ghee on Nimona & serve it with hot rice.

Matar Paneer


Dedicated to all the paneer lovers here is my next dish Matar paneer for you all. 


  • Ingredients:( for 4 people)


  1. cottage cheese (paneer)  400 grms.
  2. Peas 250 grms.
  3. 2-3 onions.
  4. 2 tomatoes.
  5. Grated ginger.
  6. Finely chopped garlic (6-8 buds)
  7. Coriander finally chopped.
  8. Garam Masala.
  9. Dhania powder.
  10. Turmeric Powder.
  11. Red Chili Powder.
  • Recipe:
Grind Onion & tomato together . Now take some refined in a wok and put it on the flame add garlic & ginger into it. Now add the tomato onion paste to it and saute it for some time when the paste starts to change its color add all the masalas in it and fry for some time. Once the masala fries well and starts leaving t wok or the pan add peas into it and saute for a while  now add water to it and close the pan to get it boil once the curry is bit thick and color is dark brown add the paneer cubes and let it boil for 2 more minutes.
Now savour this garma garam matar paneer with pulav or phulka.

masala prawns





This is my first non veg recipe on this blog  and i hope u all sea food lovers will like it.


  • Ingredients:
  1. Prawns 1 kg .
  2. Onions 4-5 medium size.
  3. Ginger garlic paste.
  4. 3-4 red chilly (dried).
  5. black pepper.
  6. bay leaves .
  7. green chilies.
  8. One Lemon.
  9. 2 medium size tomatoes.
  10. Garam Masala.
  11. Dhania Powder.
  12. Red Chilli Powder.
  13. Turmeric powder.
  • Recipe:
   Wash and marinate prawns with a mixture of turmeric powder, red chili powder, 1 table spoon of ginger garlic paste and 1 lemon. keep it marinated for about half an hour or so.

Take one deep fry pan and pour some oil into it. add some bay leaves, black pepper and dry red chilies into it. Now add finely chopped onions into it when it start changing its color add 1 table spoon of ginger garlic paste to it and fry for a bit.

Now add all the pisa masalas (garam, dhania & Red chili powder). and saute till the masala is well fried.Now add the grind ed tomatoes and saute for some more minutes .
Its time to add the marinated prawns to the masala , add and keep on frying for some time , if required u can add some water while frying the prawns in the masala.
 Add some coriander leaves on top to garnish it.
Now enjoy your masal prawns with roti or parantha.
