Khasta kachori


Originally from North India Khasta Kachori is a yummy spicy snacks. Make it this holi and welcome your guests with this mouth watering delicacy.

  • Ingredients: for 10-12 kachoris.
  1. 2 cup flour.
  2. half bowl rice flour.
  3.  Water for kneading.
  4. Half cup Moong dal .(soaked for 3-4 hrs)
  5. Half cup Urad dal.(soaked for 3-4 hrs)
  6. 2 table spoon besan.(gram flour).
  7. Asfoetida (heeng) as per taste.
  8. green chillies 2-3 grinded.
  9. small ginger piece finely grated.
  10. 2-3  dried red chillies(broken into small pieces.
  11. corriander powder 1/2 t spoon.
  12. garam masala 1 t spoon.
  13. fennel powder (saunf) 1t spoon.
  14. Salt as per taste.
  15. Oil to fry.
  • Recipe:
Make a dough of  wheat flour,rice  flour, 2-3 table spoon of oil and some salt. kneat well  cover with a moist cloth and keep aside for about half an hour.

Now take soaked dal (moong and urad) drain out all the water from it.
Now take a frying pan put some oil into it and put it on flame. nOw add cumin seeds and asafoetida. once the cumin seeds change color add grated ginger finely broken red chillies, grinded green chillies, fennel powder, corriander powder and garam masala and besan to it. saute it well on medium flame for 2-3 minutes. This will act as the filling for the kachoris.

Now take kneaded dough divide them into equal size balls and make thick poories  and stuff eachpoori with this filling and pack it like pockets and roll them a bit  and deep fry them well.
Your Hot kachoris are ready to serve . u can serve them like this or 
Top them with finely chopped corriander,besan sev, dahi and Imli chutney (recipe is there in dahi papdi section). 

chilli chicken


A Nice & easy Chinese dish 'chilli Chicken'. Its a savior dish for those who don't have much time and patience to make and guests are on the way 

  • Ingredients: for 4 people.
  1. Boneless chicken 300 grms.
  2. One cup Corn flour.
  3. One egg slightly beaten. 
  4. Onion 2 Big.(cut into big cubed slices).
  5. green Chilli 3-4.(you can remove the seeds if they r too hot).
  6. Soya sauce 1/2 table spoon.
  7.  Vinegar 1/2 table spoon.
  8. 1/2 table spoon ginger garlic paste.
  9. 1/2 table spoon red chilli sauce.
  10. 1/2 table spoon tomato sauce.
  11. salt.
  •  Recipe.
Mix half of the cornflour in slightly beaten egg and mix now add ginger garlic paste and salt into it , mix thoroughly and marinate the chicken pieces with this mixture and keep aside for about half an hour.
Now deep fry these pieces and keep them aside.
Its time to make the sauce. Take little oil in a wok and add onion into it once the onion become translucent add slitted chilies into it , saute for a minute and take it out. Now add the remaining cornflour and water in a ratio of 1:1 . and put it in the heated wok stir it for a while and then add all the sauces  and salt into it ,next add the fried chili onion mix and immediately add the fried chicken pieces into it. saute for just 2 minutes so that all the things mix into each other properly and your Chilli chicken is ready to eat.

Honey chilli Potatoes





Quick & easy to make honey chilli potatoes are a hit among kids as well as adults.Takes not more then 12-15 minutes to make but gets finished in 2 minutes :)


  • Ingredients: for 4 people.
  1. Potatoes 200 grms.
  2. 1 tsp red chilli paste or chilli sauce.
  3. 1/2 tsp vinegar.
  4. 1 tsp soya sauce.
  5. 1 tsp honey.
  6. 2 tsp cornflour mixed in 2tsp water.
  7. 1/2 tsp salt
  8. 1/2 tsp pepper powder.

  • Recipe:
Cut potatoes into long pieces like french fries or like wedges and deep fry them until golden yellow and keep aside. Now combine all the other ingredients for the sauce and cook on medium flame till the sauce thickens . Now shut the flame , and just before serving pour this sauce over the fried potatoes and toss well. Now serve and get the pats.

Murg masala jaekewala (chicken gravy)



One of my most popular recipe among my non vegetarian friends and family members. Who ever has eaten it loved it , so here goes my variant of chicken curry bit different but quiet yummm.


  • Ingredients:( for 4 people)
  1. Chicken 1 Kg.
  2. onion Half kg.
  3. Ginger garlic paste 2 table spoon
  4. Black pepper powder 2 table spoon.
  5. Curd half bowl.
  6. khada masalas( bay leaves, black cardamom, cinnamon, cloves,black pepper,dried red chillies ) in small quanties.
  7. Chicken Masala 3 table spoon.
  8. dhania powder 1 table spoon.
  9. cream: half bowl.
  10. corriander leaves(finelly grated) .
  11. green chillies (slited from middle).
  12. Salt as per taste.
  13. Mustard oil  for cooking.
  • Recipe:
Marinate chicken with curd, pepper powder, 1 table spoon ginger garlic paste & 1 lemon .
Tips: dont add salt for marination as it takes out the juice from the chicken.

Cut the onions into big slices  take some oil and add all the khada masala into it . cover & let it shallow fry for 2-3 minutes .
Now grind this paste. next step is to add oil again in the vessel and add this fried onion paste & 2 table spoon of ginger garlic paste. Saute it for some time & now add  chicken masala, red chilli powder & dhania powder to it. after its fried well  add cream to the mixture and mix it well with the paste , now after 3-5 minutes add salt and chicken in the vessel and saute it well and cover the vessel with a lid and keep on steering from time to time so that the chicken dont burn. once the chicken is cooked well add some water and let it simmer for some more time. dont add much water as this chicken taste good with thick curry. Garnish with some kasuri methi and corriander leaves.Now enjoy this yummy murg masala jaekewala with roti or rice.

Aaloo Kulcha





Best paired with Chole kulcha can also be eaten with paneer  or rajma or dal makhani or , or  with any spicy or creamy  north indian vegie.


  • Ingredients:
  1. maida 250 grms
  2. Soda water to knead t flour.
  3. Potato 200 grms
  4. garam masala 1 t spoon
  5. amchur1 t spoon.
  6. Refind Oil.
  7. Green Chilly finely chopped.
  8. Onion 1 big finely chopped.
  9. Coriander finely chopped. 
  • Recipe:
Knead maida (refined flour) with soda water cover it with a cloth and keep it aside for 10 minutes. 
Boil potatoes , peel them and mash them . now add garam masal, coriander, onion, green chilli, amchur and salt in the mixture and mix well . 
Now take a ball of kneaded flour and fill the potato mixture in the same way as in case of stuffed paratha and make ball . Now make  a round paratha and put it on tava and grease it with oil on both side and your kulcha is ready.

Believe me its a must try & easy to make recipe. so try it once.

'Chole' a very famous dish of north india . It yumm taste and variety of spices leaves a nice flavor in your mouth.


  • Ingredients: for 4 people
  1. Chickpea (kabuli Chana): 500 grms.
  2. Dry Masalas Like:(bay leaves,cloves,black pepper, cinnamon, dry red chilly and jeera).
  3. 3-4 big onions.
  4. 2 medium sized tomato.
  5. 3-4 green chillies .
  6. 2 spoon ginger garlic paste.
  7. 1 Table spoon tea .
  8.  3 table spoon chana/chole  masala .
  9. 1& half table spoon dhania powder.
  10. 1& half table spoon lal mirch powder.
  11. 1 t spoon turmeric.
  12. 1 table spoon Chaat masala.
  13. 1 table spoon kasoori methi.
  14. Refind 3 table spoon.
  15. salt as per taste.
  16.  green Coriander.
  • Recipe:
 Soak Chickpea over night or atleast for 5-6 hours. Now wash and put in a cooker along with all the dry masalas. wrap tea in a cloth make a potli and put it along with now add about 1 table spoon of water and let it boil for upto 6-7 whistles (I like it soft if u want a bit hard reduce t no. of whistles).

Now take a wok (kadhai) and add refined to it switch on t flame and add grinded onions into it once the onion start changing color add ginger garlic paste and saute for some time Now add all the masalas ( garam masala, dhania powder, red chilli & turmeric along with some water and fry it for some time till t masala leave the pan & oil begans to appear on the surface of masala now add grind-ed tomatoes and slitet chillies and saute for 2-3 more minutes .
Now its time to add chick pea and saute for some time , dont throgh the water just take out the tea potli out of it and add the remaining water  & masala of cooker in the wok and close the lid on the wok for some time keep on steering from time to time for next ten minutes. By the end add kassori methi & chaat masala to the chole and switch off the flame. Now decorate it with finally slitted coriander and serve with roti or rice for dinner or add  bhature to it and enjoy chole Bhature.

shahi Paneer



Shahi Paneer is the most loved dish among paneer lovers . Creamy yummy  delicious and easy to make .
Here i give the recipe for shahi paneer .

  • Ingredients : (for four people)
  1.  Cottage Cheese (paneer): 400 grms.
  2. Onion : 2 medium size.
  3. Ginger garlic paste : 1& 1/2 table spoon.
  4. 3-4  Green chillies slitted into half.
  5. Yoghurt : 1/2 cup.
  6. Cream: 1/2 cup.
  7. Cashew paste : 1/4 cup.
  8. Garam Masala : 1 tea spoon.
  9. red chilli powder: 1/2 tea spoon.
  10.  cloves:4-5
  11.  Bay leaves:2
  12. Black pepper: 5-6
  13. Chinnamon: 1 stick.
  14. Green Cardemom : 4-6 (powdered).
  15. Saffron: 1 pinch.
  16. Salt : as per taste.
  17. Oil: 2-3 table spoon.
  • Recipe
Cut the paneer into cubes and fry a bit & keep them aside. Now boil onion in about half a cup of water , once it cools down grind it into a paste. Next heat oil in a pan and add all the dry masalas like 'bay leaves, cloves,pepper,chinnamon and saute, now add grinded onion, ginger garlic paste and green chilies to it and saute for three to four minutes on medium heat so that it get mixed but dont change the color . Add cashewnut paste and saute for 2-3 more minutes now add yoghurt and stir till its water gets completely absorbed. Now add cream to the curry and sprinkle saffron, garam masala and red chilli podwer . In the last add paneer cubes to the gravy and stir gently so that paneer can get immersed fully into gravy now sprinkle green cardamom powder on top and your gravy is ready to serve.
Tip: If you feel that the gravy is too thick then you can add some milk before paneer and stir for a minute.

Now enjoy this yummy mouth watering dish with roti or naan.
